We selected Director of Goldfields Concepts Vincenns and his team to dress Ixora2 show home. Here he takes us through the inspiration behind the stunning interior design.
What was the inspiration behind the interior design of Ixora2?
From the moment we looked at the layout of the house, we knew that this was one of the most practical layouts the market has to offer. A reasonably spacious home perfect for a growing family where each person has their own private space.
The concept for this show home is “East meets West”. The idea of bringing together designs from the eastern and western culture in harmony and matrimony.
The colour palette includes pops of burnt oranges in entertainment spaces balanced with neutral tones for the common areas to bring in a calm and peaceful ambiance.
On the first floor, right in the centre of the home, the space has been styled as a home office, which illustrates how many of us our living and working today. This space allows parents to have a private area to work from home which in turn can also be used as a study space for the kids. I can imagine myself sitting here and making important decisions.
In the master bedroom, every detail has been thought about from the curved and soft edged elements on the wardrobe to the curved TV panel, which also acts as a privacy divider in the room.
The curved element embraces the child’s bedroom, with an impressive curved ceiling design, the curved cushion headboard, right down to the circular handle for the cabinets; all designed to spark a world of creativity.
The upstairs bedrooms are complete with modern ensuite.
What interior design trends are you seeing right now?
With everyone adapting to the ‘new normal’, we can see the trend heading towards a lively and colourful yet minimalistic direction.
Lively – more indoor plants are being introduced to bring the outdoors in. We’ve been hearing from our landscaping and nursery suppliers that they’re experiencing a positive boom in trade.
Colourful – with families spending more time at home, bright colours bring a sense of joy and happiness into the home.
Minimalistic – making it easier to clean or sanitise areas of the house
Would you move into Ixora2?
I would definitely take it into consideration if I were to have a growing family as this is one of the most spacious homes on the market that comes with a practical layout. Situated in this well planned township, I can get my daily essentials without the fuss having to drive far.
