A special celebration for a special year – the Year of the Dragon was ushered in with extra pomp and splendour at Kinta Properties’ Chinese New Year open house this year.

Held at our Rosewood show home in Bandar Baru Sri Klebang, Ipoh, on the third day of the lunar new year, the celebration kicked off with an energetic lion dance to bless our new homes as well as all those present.

Oohs and wows emanated from the large crowd gathered at Rosewood when the “dragon” made its appearance. The excitement continued with an acrobatic lion dance, which left the crowd holding their breath as performers from the Teng Yi Cultural & Arts Club jumped from pole to pole with agility and precision.

Much to the delight of the little ones, the God of Prosperity also made an appearance to distribute angpows to them. There was also much fun at the arts and crafts booth featuring calligraphy art and 3D foam art as well as our games booth where old and young won prizes playing the Plinko, Mandarin Race, and Groundnut Hunt.

And of course, no Chinese New Year celebration is ever complete without food. Thus, we made sure everyone went home with full stomachs by feasting on the sumptuous festive dishes from our buffet line.
