Dong dong dong chiang…and thus, began our long-awaited Chinese New Year open house on the third day of the lunar celebration!

It’s been two long years since our last big do at Bandar Baru Sri Klebang and with Covid-19 restrictions out of the way, our open house this year was double the fun, double the prosperity!

Young and old gathered at our Rosewood show home as members of the Chiau Hooi Beo Lion Dance Troupe kickstarted the celebration with an energetic lion dance to bless our new homes as well as all those present.

Much to the delight of the little ones, the God of Prosperity also made an appearance and proceeded to distribute angpows to them. Following this was a heart-thumping 12 Season Drum Performance.

The excitement did not just end there as after the lion dance and drum performance was a daring Acrobatic Lion Dance. Crowding around the poles erected at the front of the show home, visitors clamoured to get a closer view of this rare performance usually only seen during lion dance competitions.

The festivities continued with a buffet lunch, calligraphy art, and paper cutting art. Not forgetting, there were games where a lucky few won RM100 angpows after triumphantly lifting and removing a 6kg “gold bar” from the box with merely their fingers in the elusive Gold Bar Challenge.
